Occitanie is France’s largest wine-growing region, accounting for over 30% of the country’s production. The construction of the Canal du Midi in 1681 gave a real boost to the sector, facilitating the transport and sale of wines. Wine is the main economic resource of the Aude department.

The Aude appellations are : Corbières, Boutenac, Cabardès, Limoux, La Clape, Malepère, Minervois, Fitou and Muscat (Saint Jean Minervois).

We’re happy to share our favourites with you. And why not combine a wine tasting with the appropriate dishes in a Food & Wine Pairing masterclass.

A few kilometers from the house, winegrowers and cooperatives offer wine tastings, our recommendations are Château de Ventenac and Château Paraza.
